The ancient art form that binds India and Japan is Shibori. The word comes from "shiboru", which means " to wring or squeeze." This traditional Japanese technique originated during the 7th century and involves tie-dyeing fabrics by crumpling, twisting, stitching, and folding it in several ways to create beautiful patterns.

Shibori sarees radiate class, comfort and perfection and give a sense of completeness when worn. Imprinted on various textures, it adds unparalleled style value. The special characteristic of a shibori weave is its soft and subtle pattern that is full of expression with an element of the unexpected in every warp and weft.

The Chanderi weave is known for its sheer texture, its light weight and luxurious drape. The manufacturing of Chanderi weave takes place with the weaving in of silk and zari. It is mostly done in old-fashioned cotton yarns and the end-product is a glorious and shimmering textured fabric!

Adorned with intricate shibori on the pallu and the body, this fresh green and tomato pink chanderi with a tiny zari border is a treasure to wear.. This exquisite saree is weaved by our master weaver in Chanderi in Madhya Pradesh and crafted by our artisan in Gujarat.
