The beautiful conception of the Maheshwari saree dates back to 18th century at Maheshwar in Madhya Pradesh.
Maheshwari sarees are mostly woven in cotton and silk. These sarees are characterized by a narrow-coloured border embellished with zari, and small checks, narrow stripes, or solid colour in the body. The specialty of Maheshwari sarees is its reversible border, also known as bugdi, which can be worn on both sides.
Adorned with reshim striped pallu, this chrome yellow maheshwari with ivory & black zig-zag border is a treasure to wear.. This exquisite saree is weaved by our master weaver in Maheshwar – Madhya Pradesh.
