Tussar, a heritage silk, skillfully woven by masters of craft residing in the eastern parts of India, predominantly West Bengal, Jharkhand & Bihar. the stiff & lustrous texture, imitating paper silk-like feel, Tussar is certainly one of the most loved silk fabrics of India. Tussar silk is considered more textured than mulberry silk.
Block printing is the process of printing patterns by means of engraved wooden blocks. It is the earliest, simplest, and slowest of all methods of textile printing. Block printing by hand is a slow process. It is, however, capable of yielding highly artistic results, some of which are unobtainable by any other method.
Adorned with beautifully hand block printed pallu, this still grey tussar with all over hand block printed lines – square blocks and a delicate jute border is a treasure to wear.. This exquisite saree is weaved by our master weaver in Jharkhand and hand block printed by our artisan in Jaipur.
